ABOUT BF Drafting

Founded in 2011 and incorporated in 2012, BF Drafting is a construction-focused MEP drafting and coordination firm providing shop drawings and BIM models developed for real-world installation. We support MEP subcontractors, general contractors, and construction managers across both the private and public sectors, with experience on high-rise and high-end residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and restaurants. Our work reflects a deep understanding of how HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems are coordinated and installed in the field, with a strong emphasis on constructability, vertical coordination, and clear multi-trade integration in both new construction and existing buildings.

How We’re Different

BF Drafting’s shop drawings are developed with a clear emphasis on readability and field usability. Our drawings are intentionally color coded so that individual systems can be quickly identified at a glance, even from a distance. Once project teams become familiar with our color standards, system recognition becomes faster and coordination more intuitive—reducing misinterpretation, improving communication, and supporting more efficient reviews in both the office and the field. This approach reflects our commitment to continuously improving how construction drawings are used, not just how they are produced.
